PUBLIC HEALTH
Located in Burns, Oregon, the NewSun Energy Harney District Hospital Specialty Care Clinic provides critical healthcare services to rural Oregon residents at a frontier hospital. Prior to the clinic opening in 2021, residents spent five hours driving round trip for services now available locally. The clinic offers general surgery, vascular surgery, Mohs dermatology procedures, orthopedics, oncology/hematology, and cardiology.
SILVER CREEK RANGELAND FIRE PROTECTION ASSOCIATION

Funding to replace the Rangeland Fire Protection Association’s lowboy trailer, which is used to transport large, heavy firefighting equipment, and to purchase a used truck to support firefighting operations.
DUFUR SCHOOL BASED HEALTH CENTER
Total: $30,000
NewSun’s donation closed the final funding gap to open a new School Based Health Center in Dufur, Oregon. Learn more here.
FOOD SHARE ROOF REPLACEMENT
Total: $7,500
NewSun’s donation helped pay for a new roof for the Lakeview, Oregon food bank after it was badly damaged in a windstorm.
HIGH DESDRT RANGELAND FIRE PROTECTION ASSOCIATION
Total: $5,000
NewSun donated funding to the High Desert Rangeland Fire Protection Association, serving 1.5-million acres across Lake County, to help prepare for a difficult 2026 fire season. The donation covered a portion of the fuel costs, which are typically covered by the local ranchers and farmers.
SAVING GRACE
Total: $10,500
Saving Grace offers safety, hope, and healing to survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault to help Central Oregon build life free from violence. NewSun awarded a matching grant for the Fall 2023 fundraising campaign and contributes to annual fundraising appeals.
MAUPIN FOOD BANK
Total: 800 lbs Ground Beef
After purchasing steers at the Wasco County Fair in both 2025 and 2026, we had them butchered and donated approximately 400 two-pound packages of beef to be distributed through the local food bank.
